Traffic signal ahead sign
A yellow diamond showing a traffic light warns that signals are ahead. It is used where the lights might be hidden by a hill, a curve, or trees, so you have time to prepare to stop.
When you see it
- ◆ Slow down and be ready to stop if the light is red or turns amber.
- ◆ Watch for the back of a queue building at the intersection.
- ◆ Do not speed up to "beat" an amber light.
