This yellow diamond warns that traffic from a ramp or another road will merge into your lane ahead. Both drivers share the duty to adjust speed and position so the merge is smooth and safe.
When you see it
- ◆ Check your mirrors and blind spot for merging vehicles.
- ◆ Adjust your speed to leave a safe gap rather than racing to block it.
- ◆ Move over a lane if it is safe and clear to do so.
